    Jan intake telematch

Had January intake 2008 telematch today. I was one of the organizers. Time past so fast, just last year I was the January intake going for telematch. Now, I'm in my second and final year for diploma. It was fun playing with them but tiring.

Time really flies, so much things has changed, in my life, in my friend's life, in the world. Some things has changed like the malls got bigger, the roads got wider. Some things hasn't changed like my love for reading and listening to music.

One song that explains the sentiments that I can't put into words.

    Whatever it takes - Lifehouse

A strangled smile fell from your face
It kills me that I hurt you this way
The worst part is that I didn't even know
Now there's a million reasons for you to go
But if you can find a reason to stay

    I'll do whatever it takes
    To turn this around
    I know what's at stake
I know that I've let you down
And if you give me a chance
    Believe that I can change
I'll keep us together whatever it takes

She said If we're gonna make this work
You gotta let me inside even though it hurts
Don't hide the broken parts that I need to see
She said Like it or not it's the way it's gotta be
You gotta love yourself if you can ever love me

    I'll do whatever it takes
    To turn this around
    I know what's at stake
I know that I've let you down
And if you give me a chance
    And give me a break
I'll keep us together, I know you deserve much better

But remember the time I told you the way that I felt
That I'd be lost without you and never find myself
Let's hold onto each other above everything else
    Start over, start over

    I'll do whatever it takes
    To turn this around
    I know what's at stake
I know I've let you down
And if you give me a chance
and believe that I can change
I'll keep us together whatever it takes

    Feeling lonely

The Backstreet boys recently came to Malysia for their concert in Sunway Lagoon Surf beach. I wasn't there. I have been busy preapring for Accounting Night. Ahh..the best way to beat stress is to relax and the best way to relax is to do something you enjoy and for me, that's listening to music. Every now and then, I will listen to Lee Hom, Carrie Underwood, Celine Dion, Yellowcard and so on.

Anyway, this is the lyrics to one of their song that I like.

Show Me The Feeling of Being Lonely - Backstreet Boys

Show me the meaning of being lonely
So many words for the broken heart
It's hard to see in a crimson love
    So hard to breathe
    Walk with me, and maybe
Nights of light so soon become
Wild and free I could feel the sun
Your every wish will be done
    They tell me

    [Chorus:]
Show me the meaning of being lonely
Is this the feeling I need to walk with
Tell me why I can't be there where you are
There's something missing in my heart

Life goes on as it never ends
Eyes of stone observe the trends
They never say forever gaze upon me
Guilty roads to an endless love (endless love)
    There's no control
    Are you with me now?
Your every wish will be done
    They tell me

    [Chorus]

    There's nowhere to run
I have no place to go
Surrender my heart, body, and soul
    How can it be
    You're asking me
To feel the things you never show

You are missing in my heart
Tell me why I can't be there where you are

    [Chorus]

    2 books

For the past few days I have been reading. Actually, for my whole semester break, I have been reading.

Recently, I read Bald in the land of big hair:true confessions of a woman with cancer. The author is Joni Rodgers. Her style of writing was really good, sometimes downright funny. She has non-Hodgkin lymphoma which is a type of cancer. In this book, she tells you how she cope with it. I really admire her husband for being there for her and helping her out. I bet without his help, she might not cope that well. Another part is well, her outlook on like which is a positive outlook. I also feel that the people around her play a big part too in helping her and encouraging her. In the end, she survived.

Now I'm still reading Wealth: Grow it, protect it, spend it and share it by Stuart E. Lucas. It's more to managing your own personal assets as you see currently, I have only cash which is very liquid and bring me no returns. But it's good to learn the tricks of trade early so that I'm able to avoid common mistakes people make later on. I might take a long time to read this book because it's not something you can finish in one sitting but might have to read and reread.

    Yesterday

OK, this post was for yesterday. I didn't have the time to go online.

I went to Sunway Pyramid yesterday to meet up with my friend, Yein, or should it be yEin. I went there earlier because I took the bus there while she went there after her class.

I thought I needed to wait hours for the bus but instead I only needed to wait for a few minutes. Hmm...maybe the bus service improved but all the times I went to Sunway Pyramid by bus I didn't need to wait for too long. So on second thought, maybe nothing changed.

Well, for those who haven't who didn't know about it, Sunway Pyramid has expanded. So it's bigger now and has more shops. I didn't like shopping there last time because it was smaller so after walking a few round, I will start to feel kinda bored. That was what happened during Planet Shaker's conference, I can't remember exactly which year was it. Back to the shops, there are some concept stores in the new wing like Padini and Voir which I like because I usually buy stuff from those brands.

I know this is quite random or what some of you may call messy. Since the bus dropped me off at the new wing so the 1st shop I went to is Machines. If you read my earlier post, you'll notice that on my list is an ipod and a macbook so that's what I went to check out. Apple products just simply have the cool factor that Microsoft products couldn't offer. The sales people there were extremely helpful and friendly. They also know the product well. It's like they have the whole iPod and Macbook database inside their head.

After that, I went to look at clothes and bought some t-shirts. Well, in some shops the sales people there did a good job but others well, they didn't even bother to welcome you. I was surprised that one of them is G2000. For a label which is on par with other expensive labels they should give a better customer service. That was a big disappointment. Anyway, I don't think I can wear anything there that's suitable for Accounting Night. But I might not want to shop in G2000 again.

Other than shopping for clothes, I also went to The Body Shop, the sales people here are always helpful, no matter which branch is it, whether in 1 Utama or KLCC. I also tried on perfume. I like Maria Sharapova's perfume. The scent is nice and not too strong. I like the bottle too.

After my friend arrived, we went to a Japanese shop next to A&W. The food there is good. I like Japanese food but I don't really fancy sushi. I like teriyaki. After lunch we walk around some more to digest the food. Then we went over to J.Co donuts. The donuts was really good. Highly recommended. Eat it while it's still fresh. We went back after doing some shopping.

Later in the evening, at CG we played taboo. This game is for people whose English cut the mustard and had a wide vocabulary.
